Director of Data Analytics
Job Description
Own our data strategy. Lead the planning, prioritization, and deployment of all data initiatives for the company, covering dashboard development, ad hoc analysis, and predictive analytics projects. Drive insights by being a thought leader on key business metrics like LTV, CAC, ARR, ARPA, Churn, and AOV. Maintain and establish analytical frameworks to support product, business, and operational decision-making. Manage dashboards, reports, and visualizations using our data warehouse (Snowflake), transformation layer (DBT), and visualization solution (Looker). Collaborate across departments (Marketing, Product, Engineering, Sales, and Finance) to understand and support new data requirements, driving data development projects and improvements. Conduct in-depth analysis of conversion rates in purchase funnels and subscriber churn, providing strategic recommendations for optimization. Develop predictive models to identify trends between disparate data sources that yield insights for informed decision-making. Ensure data quality and governance by building and maintaining systems to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across the organization.
Qualifications
1. 7+ years of experience in a data management role within a subscription/SaaS business. 2. Proven experience in business intelligence, with a strong background in data analysis and visualization. 3. Leadership experience with the ability to manage and grow a BI-focused team. 4. Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with data warehousing and visualization technologies like Snowflake, Looker, and DBT. 5. Understanding of key business metrics and their impact on subscription and transactional models. 6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business strategies. 7. Experience in data science and predictive analytics. 8. A statistical background including model building experience is a significant plus.
