Job Description

The Director of Clinical Services (DCS) is entrusted with ensuring clinical and operational excellence within a designated area of Envision Physician Services. This role involves enhancing patient care processes and outcomes through collaborative partnerships with local medical leaders and clinicians. The DCS balances client needs with internal EMG relationships, identifying opportunities for improvement and collaborating with the operating unit leadership team to support medical directors and clients in achieving performance goals. This position drives the implementation of clinical quality, service line clinical operations, and corporate initiatives, leveraging client relationships to improve clinician engagement, customer value, and contract retention. Additionally, the DCS evaluates and identifies areas for improvement within health systems and hospitals, actively supporting initiatives aimed at delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

1. Demonstrated track record of results in physician relations, health systems structures/care transitions, quality, and clinical operations. 2. Experience in physician relations, quality improvement, process enhancements, and customer service. 3. Effective communication skills with executive management, including EMG leadership and health system C-suite leadership. 4. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. 5. RN (Registered Nurse) required. 6. 5-10 years of relevant hospital experience, including 5+ years in clinical departmental leadership. 7. 5+ years of experience in people leadership. 8. LEAN/Six Sigma training preferred (must be obtained within the first 12 months). 9. Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 10. Advanced ability in data acquisition, analysis, and visualization. 11. Familiarity with flowchart and diagramming software (e.g., Visio).
