Director, Media Relations – Sports
Job Description
Lead the development and implementation of media relations strategies across our Sports & Entertainment division. Work closely with teams specializing in influencer marketing, social media, creative content, and data analytics. Provide guidance to junior staff members and serve as a reliable partner for our clients. Oversee proactive and reactive media relations efforts, while also training junior team members in pitching techniques, strategic planning, and client management. Work alongside account managers to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and oversee reporting and monitoring processes.
Qualifications
1. Must have 8+ years of experience in public relations and media relations. 2. Must have established relationships with media contacts across various channels, particularly within sports and sports business. 3. Must have experience utilizing AI tools for research, workflow optimization, and creative concept development. 4. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute innovative media strategies for clients in sports, entertainment, and lifestyle sectors. 5. Capacity to create compelling story angles, pitches, and communication opportunities.
