Director, Engineering Projects
Job Description
Lead a global team of Engineering Project & Program Managers, supporting multiple business units across the global MAES organization. Develop engineering project management processes and tools to scope, drive, track, and deliver global projects. Manage chemical production scale-ups, technology development, systems design and engineering, and capital projects. Directly project-manage critical, high-visibility initiatives. Continuously drive engineering efficiency, improving speed, first-time-right performance, and scope adherence. Develop Project Managers, improving skills and behaviors. Develop project plans, status reports, and risk mitigation options with cross-functional teams. Lead team meetings, facilitate communication and execution, and address bottlenecks. Partner with Engineering leadership to CIP existing practices and develop solutions. Cultivate a culture of Continuous Improvement within the Engineering Project Management teams.
Qualifications
1. Technical qualification in Science or Engineering at Bachelor Degree level required; Masters and/or MBA desired. 2. Minimum of 8+ years of project management leadership. 3. 10-12+ years experience in project management, including planning, negotiating resources, and leading cross-functional teams. 4. Extensive knowledge of project management strategies, tools, and operational approaches. 5. Experience in defining and establishing new business processes. 6. Ability to manage in both directions, communicating to stakeholders accurately and swiftly. 7. Experience working in electronics or similar technical industry preferred.
