Director, Claims Counsel

Job Description

We are seeking a Director of Claims Counsel to oversee claims management. This role involves the review, approval, and resolution of claims and billing inquiries. The Director will adjudicate complex and disputed claims and lead a team of 3-4 professionals, providing legal guidance on legal interpretation and complex reimbursement matters.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. 2. Property & Casualty licensing preferred (must be willing to obtain if not active). 3. J.D. from an accredited law school with 4+ years of experience as a practicing attorney (preferred). 4. 5+ years of experience in claims administration, fee reimbursement, billing inquiries, or related work. 5. Strong expertise in claims review, adjudication, and approval processes. 6. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Teams, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
