DevOps Engineer – Observability
Job Description
Shape the future of our cloud and observability platforms as a DevOps Engineer. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain resilient infrastructure and deployment patterns. Support and guide engineers, championing strong engineering standards and operational best practices. Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure platform availability. Drive standardization, automation, and documentation to improve consistency, reduce operational overhead, and foster knowledge sharing. Contribute to the full lifecycle of platform and service delivery, from initial design to ongoing operation and optimization.
Qualifications
1. 3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, or software engineering. 2. Strong Kubernetes experience, with a solid understanding of containers and container orchestration. 3. Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet. 4. Programming skills in at least one object-oriented language, plus scripting and automation skills. 5. Understanding of security principles and best practices for infrastructure, platforms, and services. 6. Hands-on experience in a major cloud platform, like AWS, GCP, or OCI. 7. Experience with monitoring, alerting, and observability using tools like Prometheus, Grafana. 8. Understanding of networking fundamentals and distributed systems. 9. Strong Linux and/or Windows systems administration experience. 10. Experience with software delivery automation, CI/CD pipelines, and secure SDLC practices. 11. Understanding of SRE concepts like SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, toil reduction, availability, and observability. 12. Beneficial: Experience managing and supporting Elasticsearch in production.
