Job Description

As a Database Administrator, your primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive operational support for all assigned databases and platforms. You will spearhead the design and implementation of new installations, aligning with approved projects and initiatives. This includes proactive database management through continuous monitoring and maintenance of assigned systems, encompassing backup and recovery procedures, updates, patches, and hotfixes. Collaborating closely with the Systems Engineering team, you will forecast and plan for additional capacity to effectively meet evolving business needs. In addition, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining robust policies and procedures that ensure the seamless maintenance and continuity of assigned systems. Your expertise will be invaluable in solution design, where you'll contribute to database schema creation, development of stored procedures and functions, and SQL query tuning using the SQL server toolset. Designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining system interfaces will be essential to streamlining and automating critical business processes. Accurate and thorough documentation of all developed solutions will also be your responsibility. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, driving initiatives to successful project completion while adhering to global standards and practices. You will provide advanced technical support to IT Systems Engineers, Support Engineers, and the Service Desk, sharing your expertise and guidance. Furthermore, you will mentor team members, facilitating comprehensive cross-training for assigned systems and applications, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

1. Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and the SQL server toolset. 2. Advanced understanding of database security protocols, backup and recovery methodologies, and performance monitoring standards. 3. Comprehensive knowledge of relational and dimensional data modeling principles. 4. Proven ability to collaborate effectively and assume a leadership role within an international, multi-cultural team environment. 5. Exceptional analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities. Adept at working both independently and collaboratively to achieve desired outcomes. 6. Strong time management and workload management skills are essential for success in this role. 7. S. in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience. 8. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in database administration and advanced database support. 9. Proficiency in English.
