Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to manage our database systems, ensuring data availability, security, and top-notch performance. You will be at the forefront of database implementation, configuration, upgrades, and daily administration. Expect to collaborate closely with infrastructure teams on system optimization and patching for our cloud-based database environments. Your expertise will be crucial in automating monitoring and routine operational tasks using scripting, enhancing the reliability and efficiency of our vital data systems. You will also be involved in database administration and support for both Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, with a focus on backup, recovery, and performance tuning. Your efforts will ensure our databases run smoothly and securely, supporting critical business functions.
Qualifications
1. Must possess an Active Secret clearance. 2. A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field, OR equivalent experience is required. 3. Must have 3+ years of experience in Oracle/Postgres database administration. 4. Familiarity with different OS platforms such as Linux, RHEL and Windows. 5. Proven experience in Oracle 19C/21C database administration, support, implantation, configuration and upgrade. 6. Hands-on experience with Oracle Data Guard, RMAN (Backup & Recovery), Cloning, Resource Management, OEM Grid administration and Implementation for version 19C/21C databases. 7. Must have experience in Oracle database performance tuning using AWR/ASH/ADDM reports for troubleshooting performance issues. 8. Hands on working experience of AWS Cloud Services (Cloud Watch Cloud Trail, EC2) and Databases (ORACLE & Postgres RDS) 9. Proficient in Database script writing (PL/SQL), database storage management, database interfaces, external application database interfaces, and other systems database interfacing. 10. Competent in performance tuning, hardware replacement, firmware upgrades, and patching to all COTS software products, including operating systems. 11. Experience in shell scripting to enhance and update daily monitoring tasks.
