Data Science Intern

Job Description

Join RTX as a Data Science Intern and contribute to improving business systems in the aerospace industry. This remote position involves collaborating with stakeholders to drive data-driven decision-making. You'll analyze complex datasets, identify trends, apply machine learning techniques, and communicate findings effectively. Integrate diverse data sources and develop custom queries to address analytical requests.

Qualifications

1. Pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics) and must not graduate prior to September 2026. 2. Proficient in SQL, Python, and Pandas, with experience using Jupyter Notebooks. 3. Skilled in creating visualizations with Python libraries (e.g., matplotlib, seaborn, plotly). 4. Familiar with statistical principles (e.g., hypothesis testing), the machine learning model lifecycle, and ML libraries (e.g., XGBoost, Sklearn). 5. Experience programmatically interfacing with large language models (LLMs) (preferred). 6. Experience working with Spark or Databricks (preferred). 7. Experience creating visualizations in Tableau (preferred)
