Data Engineer – Tieto Tech Consulting

Job Description

Join Tieto Tech Consulting as a Data Engineer and contribute to building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, Spark/PySpark, and Microsoft Fabric and/or Databricks. Focus on data cleansing, validation, and transformation, developing medallion/lakehouse architectures with Microsoft Fabric or Delta Lake, and integrating data from diverse enterprise systems. Prepare analytics-ready datasets for BI reporting, optimize pipeline performance, and support data platform modernization using Agile methodologies.

Qualifications

1. Possess 2+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related fields. 2. Exhibit strong programming skills in SQL and Python/PySpark. 3. Demonstrate familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or comparable data platforms. 4. Have experience with Azure or AWS data services. 5. Have experience constructing ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions. 6. Comprehend data lakes, data warehouses, and data modeling concepts. 7. Possess experience with Git and modern development practices. 8. Capable of collaborating within Agile teams and consulting environments. 9. Have excellent spoken and written English language skills. 10. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Delta Lake, Snowflake is a significant advantage. 11. Experience with data platform modernization or ETL migration projects. 12. Experience with Power BI or other analytics tools. 13. Familiarity with Delta Lake or similar storage formats. 14. Experience working in international environments. 15. Azure or Databricks certifications.
