Data Conversion Specialist

Job Description

Engage fi is seeking a Data Conversion Specialist to design and implement scalable data integration pipelines and data load processes for system conversions and migrations. This role involves developing and mapping source-to-target data models, ensuring alignment with target system specifications and business requirements, and establishing best practices for data architecture and transformation logic. You will install, configure, and support platforms like Data Librarian (DL), VantEdge Point (VP), and DataFusion. Responsibilities include writing, testing, and optimizing custom code, developing ETL processes, and leading technical discovery efforts for new systems. The role also requires providing technical leadership, contributing to internal standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 2. 5+ years of experience in data engineering, system integration, or software development. 3. Advanced proficiency in data modeling, ETL development, and database architecture. 4. Strong coding skills including SQL and relevant scripting or ETL tools. 5. Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments with limited documentation or predefined structure. 6. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail. 7. Ability to independently design and execute complex technical solutions. 8. Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
