Job Description

Join Nielsen's Cyber Security team as a Cybersecurity Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for investigating, responding to, and triaging security threats and incidents. Conduct host/network-based forensic investigations to collect and preserve evidence. Manage detection alert queues, threat reports, and security incidents, collaborating with our Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) to resolve issues. Prioritize and triage incidents, manage investigations, and ensure timely responses. You will also be responsible for maintaining documentation, including incident response plans and standard operating procedures. Participate in rotating on-call coverage to enhance overall security capabilities.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree or 1-2 years of relevant cybersecurity experience preferred. 2. Experience with Cybersecurity Incident Response, Digital Forensics, or Timeline Analysis. 3. Knowledge of current information security solutions and technologies, including cloud, network, and host-based products. 4. Effective investigative skills across multiple technologies. 5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 6. Ability and willingness to learn and hone cybersecurity skills. 7. Cybersecurity certifications preferred (e.g. CISSP, Sec+, SANS/GIAC). 8. Familiarity with Python and Powershell a plus. 9. Experience automating tasks via scripting or other tools (Tines, or similar SOAR) a plus.
