Credit Risk Manager – SME Credit Cards

Netherlands – Remote Full-Time

Job Description

Take charge of enhancing Finom's Credit Risk engine, aiming for industry recognition (framework, guidance, analytics, and technical setup). Manage and refine the complete credit risk process for credit cards, covering eligibility, underwriting, scoring models, limit setting, risk tolerance, monitoring, and reporting. Team up with Product and Engineering to integrate risk considerations into product design and strategy from the start. Define the data strategy, encompassing transactional data, bureau landscape across multiple countries, behavioral data, accounting software, government registry data, and first-party transactional signals on Finom’s accounts. Steer the ML & DS team in developing, validating, and improving credit scoring and related risk models. Construct and maintain the portfolio monitoring system. Develop and fine-tune the early warning indicator and credit monitoring system, focusing on transaction velocity, balance deterioration, payment pattern changes, shifts in supplier/customer/revenue concentration, and signals from external data sources. Serve as a robust Second Line of Defense (2LoD), guaranteeing strong origination, monitoring, and collections processes. Oversee and continuously refine credit risk policies, risk appetite frameworks, and reporting. Ensure compliance with EMI / PS4 regulatory requirements and emerging European standards.
