Job Description
As a Corporate Medical Director, you will play a crucial role in providing medical insights and making informed decisions regarding the appropriateness of healthcare services. Your responsibilities include ensuring compliance with established review policies, procedures, and performance standards. You'll provide expert guidance to executives, contributing to the development of functional strategies that address significant matters, often specific to different segments. Your independent analysis of complex issues will be essential in determining the optimal course of action. This involves conducting thorough clinical case reviews, serving as a subject matter expert, and collaborating with health insurance organizations, hospitals, and healthcare providers to enhance consumer experiences.
Qualifications
1. Hold an MD or DO degree. 2. Possess 2 or more years of experience in project leadership. 3. Maintain a current and unrestricted license in at least one jurisdiction, with willingness to obtain licenses for multiple states. 4. Be Board Certified in an approved ABMS or AOA Medical Specialty. 5. Have 5 years of established clinical experience post-residency. 6. Demonstrate knowledge of the managed care industry, including Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial products. 7. Exhibit interpretation skills with prior experience leading teams focused on quality and utilization management. 8. Be available for occasional holidays. 9. Show passion for contributing to an organization focused on improving consumer experiences. 10. Have medical management experience.
