Corporate Counsel
Job Description
Join Kumquat Biosciences as Corporate Counsel and play a crucial role in drafting, reviewing, analyzing, and negotiating a variety of clinical-related contracts. This includes clinical trial agreements (CTAs), ancillary agreements, informed consent forms (ICFs), master service agreements, vendor contracts, IT agreements, consulting agreements, and confidential disclosure agreements. Act as a liaison, communicating effectively with external parties, internal business units, and contract research organizations (CROs). Assist the General Counsel with ad hoc legal projects, contributing to the company's overall legal strategy.
Qualifications
1. Juris Doctor degree required, along with 5+ years of in-house pharmaceutical or biotechnology contract/legal experience. 2. Must have proficient clinical contract drafting and negotiation skills. 3. Knowledge of statutes, regulations, and industry guidelines impacting pharmaceutical research and development and clinical trials, including data privacy, is essential. 4. Must be highly responsive, team-oriented, and detail-oriented. 5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must. 6. Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize multiple related activities is crucial. 7. Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese (verbal and written) is preferred but not required.
