Contracting & Commercial Manager

Job Description

Assume a key role in supporting and steering contract negotiations with customers across diverse sectors. Take responsibility for the commercial performance of contracts, ensuring they align with business goals. Identify, assess, and proactively manage commercial and contractual risks to safeguard the company's interests. Lead commercial change management initiatives, ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations. Draft and issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and contracts to sub-contractors. Serve as the primary point of contact for contract administration and commercial correspondence, fostering clear communication and effective issue resolution.

Qualifications

1. Internationally recognized qualification in Commercial or Contract Management (or a development plan in place to achieve this) – essential 2. Degree (HND minimum) in Business, Law, Project Management, or similar – desirable 3. Professional body membership (e.g., RICS) – desirable 4. Proven experience in contract and commercial management within complex organizations 5. Experience with high-tech industrial equipment supply into large infrastructure projects 6. Exposure to partnerships, channels, and subcontract commercial management 7. Familiarity with standard contract forms (e.g., NEC3, IET MF/1)
