Job Description

We are seeking a Conflicts & Ethics Attorney to conduct comprehensive reviews of new business intake forms, conflict reports, and engagement terms. The role involves identifying and resolving potential business and ethical conflicts to ensure compliance with Firm policies. Responsibilities include drafting and reviewing waiver letters and engagement letters, advising on issues under the rules of professional responsibility, and providing advice to attorneys on conflicts of interest analysis and Firm policies related to new business intake. The attorney will oversee the onboarding of transferring matters for lateral partners and work closely with the Associate Director of New Business Intake. Additional duties may be assigned by the Associate Director or Director of Conflicts & New Business Intake.

Qualifications

1. Juris Doctorate (J.D.) is required. 2. Minimum of three years of legal work experience after law school is preferred. 3. An active law license in the jurisdiction of the candidate is required. 4. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. 5. Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills are required. 6. A working knowledge of the rules of professional conduct is necessary. 7. Candidates should be responsive and demonstrate sound judgment. 8. Ability to work well under pressure is crucial. 9. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage a heavy workload is required. 10. Previous conflicts experience is preferred but not required.
