Job Description
We are seeking a Commercial Mortgage Underwriting Assistant to bolster our team. In this role, you will underwrite deals, meticulously document essential information, and provide comprehensive reports to the manager. You will also gather and arrange all necessary deal-related documentation, maintain a vigilant watch over the deal pipeline, ensuring timely updates, and facilitate smooth deal progression to prevent omissions or delays. Your responsibilities extend to scrutinizing financial statements and pertinent documents linked to loan applications, aiding in the creation of underwriting summaries and presentations, and liaising with internal teams to procure any missing data, guaranteeing the prompt handling of deals. You will also take on additional tasks that are in line with the demands of the position.
Qualifications
1. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. 2. A proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented approach with strong organizational skills. 3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively. 4. Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in underwriting for a commercial mortgage broker. 5. A high degree of responsibility and reliability. 6. Strong attention to detail. 7. Ability to manage multiple tasks. 8. Proactive mindset focused on maintaining workflow efficiency. 9. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. 10. Eagerness to learn and adapt quickly. 11. Ability to understand and follow established processes. 12. Availability to work U.S. Eastern Time business hours for at least four hours. 13. Interest in long-term career opportunities. 14. Possess a reliable computer with two monitors and high-speed internet.
