Collections Representative

Job Description

Join Berkshire Hathaway Direct Insurance Company as a Collections Representative and play a key role in managing delinquent accounts for insurance policies. This position involves identifying the best approach for handling collections, arranging payment plans, and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities include: - Determining the appropriate method for managing collection accounts. - Setting up payment schedules for audit balances and current policies. - Following up on payment commitments. - Managing accounts outsourced to collection agencies or attorneys. - Handling documentation requests from insureds, agents, and collection vendors. - Delivering excellent customer service. - Explaining audit results to insureds and agents. - Communicating with agents, insureds, and internal staff on dispute resolution and audit-related issues. - Assisting in clarifying the resources needed to resolve estimated audit issues. - Submitting settlement offers for review and approval.
