Cloud Engineer
Job Description
As a Cloud Engineer at BIP, you will: • Lead migrations of workloads from on-premises environments to the cloud. • Implement new cloud solutions, from initial design to final delivery. • Create foundational environments and automate provisioning processes. • Address incidents and manage problems related to cloud services. • Monitor infrastructure and applications for optimal performance. • Manage patching and scheduled maintenance activities. • Administer backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity. • Manage change requests efficiently. • Optimize performance and costs to enhance resource utilization. • Perform both corrective and evolutionary maintenance while reducing technical debt. • Orchestrate and manage containers using Kubernetes. • Maintain integrations and APIs to ensure seamless operation. • Automate various processes and infrastructure components. • Adhere to defined corporate standards and processes. • Produce comprehensive technical documentation. • Share knowledge and provide support to less experienced professionals.
Qualifications
To succeed as a Cloud Engineer, you should have: 1. Experience as a Cloud Engineer or Cloud Administrator. 2. Solid experience with at least one public cloud platform (Azure or AWS). 3. Strong hands-on knowledge in: a. Networking and connectivity within cloud environments b. Cloud security best practices c. Identity and access management d. Service provisioning techniques 4. Proven experience with Terraform (IaC) for infrastructure automation. 5. Knowledge of DevOps and GitOps practices. 6. Experience with Kubernetes and managed services such as AKS/EKS. 7. Programming skills for automation, preferably in Python. 8. Advanced English language skills for professional communication. 9. Excellent organizational skills, autonomy, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. 10. A proactive and collaborative mindset. 11. The ability to solve problems independently. 12. Good communication skills for interacting with both technical and business teams. 13. Commitment to documentation and quality standards. 14. Interest in mentoring and sharing knowledge with others. Certifications (desired): • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional • Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Experience with highly automated and standardized environments is a plus.
