Job Description
As a Client Onboarding Controller, you'll spearhead the complete onboarding journey for new clients. From the initial kickoff to seamlessly transitioning them to their dedicated long-term team, you'll be at the helm. Build strong client relationships through transparent communication and expert financial guidance. Your role involves meticulously reviewing and issuing accurate financials, ensuring unwavering quality and consistency right from the start. Collaboration is key as you coordinate across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Accounting departments, harmonizing services for a flawless client experience. You'll also take charge of building, refining, and scaling onboarding processes, accelerating efficiency, elevating quality, and enhancing the overall client experience. Furthermore, you'll lead, mentor, and cultivate a team, fostering accountability, professional growth, and upholding exceptional standards.
Qualifications
1. Minimum of 5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, ideally within a CPA firm or outsourced environment. 2. Possess a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting. 3. Showcase strong controller-level skills, including expertise in financial review and statement issuance. Familiarity with revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and advanced accounting principles is essential. 4. Have proven experience in managing multiple clients and prioritizing tasks effectively. 5. Demonstrate leadership capabilities, with the ability to develop talent and maintain high standards. 6. Exhibit a process-oriented and detail-driven approach, while maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the broader objectives. 7. Be tech-savvy, with significant and recent experience using QuickBooks Online. 8. Bonus: Prior experience in onboarding or project management within an outsourced accounting or professional services environment. 9. Bonus: Exposure to audit processes or internal control design.
