Claims Representative, Auto, PIP

Job Description

We are seeking a Claims Representative to evaluate auto claims, manage first-party medical treatment, and determine eligibility for personal injury protection and/or medical payment benefits. Key responsibilities include reviewing claims, researching policies, interpreting medical records, assessing medical treatment costs, and documenting claim activities. Effective communication with clients, claimants, medical providers, and vendors is essential for claim resolution and payments.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred. 2. State adjuster licenses are required. 3. Three (3) years of Personal Injury Protection (PIP), medical payment and/or workers compensation or equivalent combination of education and experience are needed. 4. Nursing experience is a plus. 5. Knowledge of medical terminology and appropriate application of deductibles and limits is important. 6. Familiarity with Bodily Injury (BI)/Casualty adjusting. 7. Organizational skills are required.
