Cinematic Animator
Job Description
Contribute to crafting high-quality animations tailored for cinematics and marketing materials. Drive innovation within our cinematic animation pipeline to enhance the visual storytelling. Achieve realistic and impactful results that elevate memorable scenes and key moments in trailers. Engage in collaborative teamwork across various disciplines, actively participating in team reviews and creative discussions. Design and refine character performances for both pre-rendered and real-time cinematics to captivate audiences. Guarantee cinematic content aligns seamlessly with the project's visual style, tone, and overall creative direction. Develop and maintain comprehensive animation documentation, streamlined workflows, and industry-leading best practices for the cinematic team. Integrate and troubleshoot animation assets within Unreal Engine, ensuring smooth and efficient implementation processes. Leverage motion capture data effectively, performing cleanup, retargeting, editing, and enhancing performances to meet the highest standards. Collaborate closely with Technical Animators to refine cinematic tools, improve rigging techniques, and optimize animation pipelines. Manage end-to-end motion capture workflows, from initial shoot planning to final animation polishing. Provide mentorship to junior animators and actively contribute to team knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Qualifications
1. Possess a minimum of 3 years of professional animation experience. 2. Demonstrate working experience in Maya and Motion Builder. 3. Exhibit experience with Unreal or similar game engines. 4. Showcase a relevant and high-level animation skillset through an animation reel. 5. Display a strong focus on facial animations and creating realistic human animation sets. 6. Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills and team involvement. 7. Possess a high degree of self-motivation and initiative-taking. 8. Exhibit an understanding and passion for video games. 9. Demonstrate the drive and ability to take on research and self-education.
