Chief Architect

Job Description

Seeking a Chief Architect to define and own Tervio's comprehensive technical architecture, encompassing application, data, infrastructure, and integration layers. Establish architecture principles and standards for the engineering team. Make critical technical decisions on platform design, service boundaries, data models, and technology selection. Ensure high availability, scalability, and security at every layer. Take ownership of the design for Tervio's core intelligence engines, including the GCP billing parser, cost modeling service, and assessment summary generator. Drive cloud cost optimization strategies, modeling costs within the platform. Manage Tervio's AWS infrastructure architecture across all environments. Serve as the technical authority in AWS partner conversations.

Qualifications

1. Requires 12+ years of software engineering experience, including 3-5 years in an architect-level role. 2. Must possess deep, hands-on AWS expertise in designing and operating production systems at scale. 3. Demonstrates a strong command of cloud-native architecture patterns: microservices, event-driven systems, serverless, and managed services. 4. Proven experience in designing data-intensive platforms, such as ETL pipelines and cost analytics. 5. Expertise with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform preferred), including governance and drift management. 6. In-depth understanding of SaaS security architecture: encryption, IAM, and data isolation. 7. Proven track record of making and documenting consequential architectural decisions.
