Job Description

The Cardiometabolic Care Specialist I is responsible for achieving sales targets by implementing effective marketing and sales strategies. This involves actively promoting Novo Nordisk's product portfolio to healthcare professionals (HCPs) and their staff through remote and virtual interactions. Key Responsibilities: - Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers, as well as co-promotion partners. - Collaborate with the Virtual Sales Business Manager and other field-based employees to cover shared geographic areas effectively. - Consistently demonstrate proficiency in sales and marketing techniques with a focus on territory-level impact. - Adhere to virtual call scripts and decision trees to guide customer interactions. - Meet daily outbound call targets and maintain appropriate call frequency to ensure customer engagement and satisfaction. - Document call details, including products discussed, key issues, sales aids used, and samples distributed, to optimize future sales efforts. - Schedule follow-up calls based on customer engagement and call continuum plans. - Manage inbound leads and proactively generate new leads and referrals. - Develop and execute territory business plans based on a deep understanding of market conditions, competitive trends, and patient needs. - Implement strategies to gain virtual access and build business-relevant relationships with prescribers and support staff, focusing on clinical management of patients and offering NNI-approved solutions. - Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Market Access, Educators) to share knowledge and identify business opportunities to benefit customers. - Conduct thorough research and customize account plans based on stakeholder and account business practices. - Demonstrate proficiency in the Novo Nordisk selling model during customer interactions and company-sponsored events. - Actively participate in sales and marketing meetings, training programs, and conventions, contributing product and disease state knowledge.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and/or PharmD required. 2. Previous experience in retail, non-retail/inside sales, or customer service preferred. 3. Intermediate computer skills required (Windows, Word, Excel). 4. Prior experience using sales data/call reporting software ideal. 5. Must be a self-starter and able to work independently with good business judgment. 6. Must possess excellent customer service skills. 7. Excellent oral communication skills. 8. Solid understanding of diabetes and obesity disease states and Novo Nordisk's products is needed. 9. Ability to establish rapport, build relationships, and close sales.
