Business Intelligence Architect

Job Description

Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models that support clinical, operational, and financial analytics. Lead the design and development of enterprise data warehouses, data marts, dimensional models, and analytic semantic layers optimized for reporting and self-service analytics. Architect and support data solutions built on Epic Clarity and Caboodle, and related data sources. Partner with Epic analysts, clinical informatics, and data engineering teams to understand data structures, workflows, and integration points. Support the development of financial, clinical, quality, and operational reporting and dashboards. Ensure accurate extraction, transformation, and mapping of Epic clinical system data into enterprise data warehouses and reporting environments. Prepare and manage data for AI/ML training, inference, and automation. Oversee ETL/ELT pipelines to ensure efficient, reliable, and well-documented data movement. Design and implement modern data warehousing technologies (cloud or on-prem). Establish and maintain data quality frameworks, validation rules, and monitoring processes. Ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness across clinical and operational domains. Translate business and clinical requirements into scalable data structures aligned with industry best practices. Collaborate with data governance teams to define metadata, lineage, and master data standards. Architect and support enterprise reporting solutions using Power BI and other BI tools. Provide guidance to analysts and business users on best practices for dashboard design and data consumption. Collaborate with clinical, operational, and technical teams to deliver end-to-end analytics solutions.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree is required. 2. 10+ years of related work experience is required in Business Intelligence, Analytics Frameworks, and Data Architecture. 3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in EPIC analytics products. 4. Proficiency in SQL and ETL/ELT tools. 5. Experience designing and supporting Power BI or similar BI platforms. 6. Experience working in a healthcare or clinical analytics environment.
