Job Description

Join our team as a Business Development Representative and drive Groupon's growth in Dortmund, Germany. This role involves proactively identifying and contacting prospective local merchants through outbound calls and in-person visits. Represent the Groupon brand, build local market knowledge, and establish Groupon as the preferred partner for local businesses. Manage the full sales cycle, from qualifying merchant needs to closing deals. Achieve targets, maintain accurate activity tracking in Salesforce, and collaborate with Merchant Success teams to ensure smooth onboarding. Work autonomously in a remote environment, leveraging AI-enabled tools for efficient merchant outreach and CRM data management.

Qualifications

1. Based in or near Dortmund. 2. Fluent German (native or business level). 3. Professional English for internal communication. 4. 1-2 years of sales or business development experience. 5. Hunter mentality with comfort in cold calling and in-person sales. 6. Mobility within Dortmund/Ruhr region. 7. Resilience in handling rejection and maintaining motivation. 8. Strong communication skills for engaging with business owners. 9. Basic CRM familiarity (Salesforce a plus).
