Business Development Manager

Job Description

Spearhead new business development efforts targeting US-based biotech and pharmaceutical clients. Identify, pursue, and secure opportunities related to custom development and commercial manufacturing projects. Construct and implement detailed territory and account strategies aimed at boosting revenue and expanding the pipeline. Cultivate robust client relationships, positioning yourself as a trusted strategic partner and advisor. Take the lead in client interactions, delivering compelling presentations, organizing site visits, and managing negotiations. Foster seamless collaboration across Technical, Project Management, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure client satisfaction. Oversee opportunities throughout the entire sales cycle, utilizing CRM tools for meticulous tracking and accurate forecasting. Act as a key representative for PolyPeptide at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific or related field. 2. 3-5+ years of experience in a pharma, biotech, or CDMO/CRO environment. 3. Exposure to commercial or client-facing roles. 4. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. 5. Master’s or PhD in Life Sciences, Chemistry, or related field preferred. 6. 5+ years of proven success in CDMO/CRO or life sciences business development. 7. Strong track record of closing complex deals and managing key accounts. 8. Deep understanding of the drug development lifecycle and outsourcing strategies. 9. Strong consultative sales approach and ability to navigate complex organizations. 10. Ability to translate technical solutions into business value. 11. Highly driven, self-motivated, and results-oriented. 12. Comfortable working in a global, matrixed organization. 13. Willingness to travel (~50%) to meet clients and grow your network.
