Business Development Manager
Job Description
As a Business Development Manager, your core responsibility is to drive sales growth within the assigned territory annually, establishing a robust pipeline of new business opportunities and achieving a high close rate. Key Responsibilities: 1. Expand the existing customer base and enhance distribution sales through a systematic, proactive approach, leveraging insights from POS data analytics and warm leads to stimulate demand. 2. Present and promote the company's value proposition, focusing on growing the current customer base and increasing the number of SKUs purchased. 3. Generate new demand and successfully close opportunities on standard products and value-added/bespoke solutions. 4. Educate and train distributors and end-users on the company's product offerings to enhance sales effectiveness and growth. 5. Promote new products and identify potential new product opportunities through interactions with end customers and key distribution partners. 6. Support marketing initiatives by providing market feedback and customer requests, and participate in trade shows, conferences, and marketing events. 7. Set, monitor, and report on the performance metrics of independent sales representatives. 8. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at end-customer organizations. 9. Consistently meet or exceed established sales and activity goals. 10. Provide regular status reports and track opportunities within the company's CRM system (Salesforce.com) on a monthly basis.
Qualifications
1. A strong technical background or a minimum of 3 years of experience in an electromechanical sales environment is preferred. 2. Must be a dynamic, self-motivated individual with high energy and a proven ability to drive new sales. 3. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with customers, prospects, and colleagues. 4. Experience and knowledge in OEM, independent sales representative, and distribution sales channels. 5. A demonstrated track record of successful sales generation and collaborative sales calls with distribution partners. 6. Excellent project and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. 7. Must be proactive, results-oriented, autonomous, and driven by the opportunity to build and expand business growth. 8. Familiarity with Microsoft Office software and demonstrable experience using CRM (Salesforce.com) for performance management and reporting. 9. Proven problem analysis and resolution skills at both strategic and functional levels.
