Job Description

Seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth in the health and plastics recycling sectors. Responsibilities include: Conducting market analyses to identify opportunities within healthcare (biopharma, laboratory vacuum systems, medical gases) and plastics recycling. Evaluating industries for resilience, regulatory trends, and sustainability relevance. Monitoring competitors and product gaps to support sales and portfolio strategies. Designing market segmentation and value propositions. Supporting sales in key account management through performance reviews and innovation planning. Providing insights into applications and markets to shape customer strategies. Leading the acquisition of strategic customers and crafting compelling business cases. Advising portfolio leaders on market trends, applications, and competitor positioning. Supporting new product development and business case preparation. Aligning pricing and value strategies across sales and product teams. Delivering targeted training and technical support to enhance sales effectiveness. Bridging competency gaps through effective tools, coaching, and tailored resources. Collaborating with marketing to develop impactful messaging, campaigns, and promotional materials. Boosting brand visibility through participation in trade shows, digital content creation, and industry-specific initiatives. Creating and updating educational materials focused on health and plastics recycling. Serving as a subject-matter expert for internal stakeholders, customers, and external audiences through conference presentations, webinars, and events.

Qualifications

1. Demonstrated success with vertical strategies that achieved measurable revenue and margin growth. 2. Proven track record in health and plastics recycling through the acquisition of major customers and establishing market presence. 3. Experience building internal competency across teams through regular training and collaborative efforts. 4. Recognized as a subject-matter expert, earning the trust of both internal and external stakeholders. 5. A university degree in engineering, business administration, or a related technical/commercial field is required. 6. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in market development, product management, or technical sales, ideally in industrial applications such as vacuum technology, compressors, or sustainable technologies. 7. Proven ability to manage strategic customers, identify market opportunities, and influence cross-functional teams. 8. Experience in healthcare, life sciences, plastics recycling, or related sustainability-focused industries is highly advantageous. 9. International business experience and excellent English skills are essential; additional languages are beneficial.
