Business Analyst
Job Description
Seeking a Business Analyst to analyze system requirements and business processes, code, test, debug, and implement software solutions. Develop comprehensive user stories and functional specifications to meet business needs. Lead integration efforts, ensuring software and systems are compatible across multiple platforms. Collaborate with project managers and software architects to plan development projects and ensure solutions meet long-term business goals. Conduct regular stakeholder meetings to gather product and technical requirements, maintaining business process documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Facilitate communication between organizational units to align operations and goals. Actively participate in enhancement/development projects, including analyzing user needs, gathering requirements, and managing scope of work documentation. Lead backlog grooming, estimation meetings, retrospectives, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups to ensure smooth workflow and timely execution.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Research, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cost Accounting, or a related scientific or technical discipline (Education may be substituted with 8 additional years of relevant experience). 2. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in business analysis or a related role. 3. Demonstrated experience leading and managing complex projects. 4. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 6. Ability to adapt to evolving technical requirements. 7. Proficiency in data analysis tools and software. 8. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint). 9. Experience with tools such as Jira, GitHub, and ServiceNow. 10. Familiarity with Agile methodologies. 11. Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. 12. Willingness to travel occasionally to VA sites in Washington, D.C., as needed.
