Associate Security Consultant – Vulnerability Management
Job Description
SHI International Corp. is seeking an Associate Security Consultant to join Stratascale’s Adversarial Operations Group. In this role, you will: • Execute daily Vulnerability Management as a Service (VMaaS) tasks, including vulnerability scanning, asset discovery, scan policy configuration, and reporting. • Independently manage Attack Surface Control (ASC) engagements for diverse clients, utilizing automated tools and manual micro-penetration testing. • Supervise automated penetration testing tools to pinpoint and confirm security weaknesses. • Verify vulnerability findings to remove false positives and evaluate real risk levels. • Team up with the penetration testing unit for deeper testing based on vulnerability discoveries.
Qualifications
To qualify for the Associate Security Consultant role, you should have: 1. A completed Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or possess equivalent work experience. 2. One to three years of practical experience in penetration testing or vulnerability management, preferably supporting mid-to-large enterprise environments. 3. Availability to travel to SHI, Partner, and client events, including on-site testing engagements. 4. Industry certifications such as CPTS, OSCP, PNPT, Security+, CySA+, or vendor-specific VM certifications are advantageous. 5. A solid grasp of legal/ethical considerations, testing authorization, and secure handling of client data.
