Associate Distinguished Engineer, DevOps Architecture
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Distinguished Engineer to spearhead our DevOps architecture. In this role, you will: * Design and implement scalable CI/CD pipelines across applications and platforms to ensure smooth and efficient software delivery. * Drive the adoption of DevOps strategies and standardize practices across various teams, fostering a collaborative environment. * Develop and refine DevOps frameworks, templates, and reusable components to enhance efficiency and consistency. * Integrate code quality, security measures, and testing protocols into CI/CD pipelines, establishing a robust DevSecOps approach. * Enable comprehensive automation across build, test, deployment, and release processes to accelerate delivery cycles. * Collaborate closely with engineering teams to provide essential support for microservices and cloud-native delivery models. * Manage and optimize the DevOps toolchain, including tools like GitHub, Jenkins, JFrog, and SonarQube, to maximize productivity. * Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and promote the adoption of platform engineering methodologies. * Ensure high availability, scalability, and optimal performance of DevOps platforms, meeting stringent operational requirements. * Drive improvements in observability, monitoring capabilities, and incident response protocols to maintain system reliability. * Mentor teams and champion a DevOps culture, emphasizing best practices and a proactive shift-left approach. * Support release management processes, production deployments, and continuous improvement initiatives to drive ongoing efficiency.
Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you should possess: 1. A total of 13-16 years of relevant industry experience. 2. Proven experience in DevOps Engineering, Platform Engineering, or CI/CD Automation. 3. Extensive expertise in GitHub Actions and Jenkins, alongside proficiency in modern CI/CD frameworks. 4. Hands-on experience in designing, automating, and managing CI/CD pipelines for efficient release management. 5. Familiarity with artifact management tools like JFrog Artifactory and code quality tools such as SonarQube. 6. A solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems. 7. Experience working with leading cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and GCP. 8. Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, ARM, or CloudFormation. 9. Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. 10. A strong grasp of DevSecOps practices, including SAST, DAST, and dependency scanning. 11. Experience with observability and monitoring tools, such as New Relic or Prometheus (a significant advantage). 12. A comprehensive understanding of Agile methodologies, CI/CD best practices, and DevOps maturity models. 13. Exceptional problem-solving abilities, stakeholder management skills, and communication proficiency.
