Associate Director – Functional Architecture Leader, HR Applications
Job Description
Assume leadership in the strategic design and deployment of enterprise digital architectures tailored for HR processes throughout RTX Corporation. Collaborate closely with the HR Digital Strategic Engagement Leader to align architectural visions with business objectives. Construct detailed 1-, 3-, and 5-year architectural blueprints at the functional level, setting clear strategic paths. Define architectural standards and top-tier requirements to guide Solutions Architecture (SA) teams effectively. Incorporate advanced technologies like AI/ML, IoT, and blockchain to enhance application architecture. Drive collaborative efforts enterprise-wide to establish best practices, architectural patterns, and comprehensive roadmaps for RTX's supply chain digital solutions. Direct technical architecture groups and communities, promoting architectural strategies and educating stakeholders on the value of application architecture initiatives. Maintain solution compliance with RTX IT policies and industry standards, focusing on scalability and minimized complexity. Provide ongoing mentorship and strategic insights to both the architecture community and IT teams across the organization.
Qualifications
1. A minimum of 12 years of experience in supporting complex Enterprise HR environments. 2. A bachelor's degree in Master’s Architecture, Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or an equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling. 3. A proven track record in the development, delivery, and support of enterprise-scale applications within complex Enterprise HR environments. 4. A deep understanding of HR & Payroll IT systems and tools, including estimating & pricing, treasury, tax, travel and expense, and associated data integration platforms. 5. Expertise in architecture frameworks and methods such as TOGAF, Zachman, DoDAF, SAFe Architect, with relevant certifications being highly advantageous. 6. Experience in migrating on-premise HR applications/infrastructure to the cloud (AWS/Azure) and designing cloud-native solutions. 7. Significant experience in IT service and financial management, including people leadership, budget ownership, and project management.
