Area Executive Clinical Manager
Job Description
Ensure well-coordinated, top-quality patient care across all branches within the designated region. Supervise clinical operations, ensuring services adhere to regulatory and quality standards. Provide leadership, direction, and support to clinical staff. Serve as interim clinical leadership at branch locations during Clinical Manager vacancies. Evaluate case referrals and assess patient needs across assigned branches, potentially including home visits. Assign suitable hospice associates and work with Medical Directors to determine service eligibility. Oversee and assess patient cases via home visits, meetings, and record reviews throughout the region. Guide and assist clinicians in improving their performance and service delivery. Review patients' medical diagnoses, prognoses, medications, procedures, and clinical histories. Help clinicians set goals, prioritize tasks, and develop effective care strategies. Lead and facilitate case conferences to foster care coordination and interdisciplinary collaboration. Review records and provide insights and recommendations to Executive Directors and clinical staff. Act as interim Clinical Manager by filling vacant positions at branch locations. Participate in the hiring, screening, orientation, and training of clinical associates and leadership team. Assist in designing, implementing, and evaluating in-service and continuing education initiatives. Support the development of policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to professional standards and principles. Participate in quality assessment and performance improvement efforts throughout the region. Fulfill any additional responsibilities assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
1. Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university required; bachelor’s degree preferred. 2. Graduate of a National League for Nursing (NLN) accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred. 3. Minimum of two (2) years of management or supervisory experience in a hospice or home care setting. 4. Proven ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team. 5. Experience supporting multiple locations or regional operations preferred. 6. Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license required. 7. Clinically licensed in states within assigned region preferred. 8. Current CPR certification. 9. Valid driver’s license with an insured and operational automobile in accordance with state and/or organization requirements.
