Job Description

Join Binance as an Applied AI Application Engineer intern and help shape the future of blockchain technology. In this role, you will: - Support the design and development of AI agent workflows and LLM-powered application components. - Build and rigorously test prompt strategies, retrieval flows, tool-use logic, orchestration patterns, and backend integrations. - Assist in defining crucial evaluation metrics, running benchmarks, and thoroughly analyzing failure cases. - Proactively improve system performance across key dimensions such as quality, latency, reliability, safety, and cost. - Embrace AI coding tools as a standard part of your workflow to significantly accelerate development and problem-solving. - Collaborate closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to gain a deep understanding of how production AI systems are designed, deployed, and continuously improved. - Contribute to backend services, APIs, internal tools, or lightweight user interfaces as needed to support the overall system architecture.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: 1. Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. 2. Expected graduation in 2026 or 2027. 3. Solid programming skills in Python or Java; familiarity with backend engineering is highly preferred. 4. Good problem-solving ability and comfort working with APIs, debugging, and data analysis. 5. Strong curiosity about LLMs, AI agents, automation, and real-world system design principles. 6. Ability to break down ambiguous problems into manageable components and move efficiently from initial idea to a functional working prototype. 7. Comfortable learning quickly and working effectively in a fast-moving environment. 8. Available for a 6-month full-time commitment. **Bonus Points** - Personal projects or coursework involving LLM applications, agent systems, automation, or AI-assisted development methodologies. - Familiarity with OpenAI APIs, Anthropic APIs, Hugging Face, LangChain, vector databases, or workflow management tools. - Experience with Git version control, databases, backend services, or cloud computing platforms.
