Analyst II, Fraud Prevention
Job Description
The Fraud Analyst role involves creating fraud prevention strategies to lower risk and decrease fraud losses for our clientele. This includes developing real-time and near real-time rules, based on data analysis and industry trends, using SQL with Everlink’s eDETECT™ & eDETECT+™ Solution via extensive transactional data analysis. Performance is measured regularly by monitoring false positives and fraud losses. Responsibilities include providing information to management and user groups, potentially leading internal and client meetings, and supporting fraud-related applications and business processes for clients, vendors, and internal teams. In addition, the role will participate in gathering business technology requirements to ensure solutions meet stakeholder needs.
Qualifications
1. A secondary degree in a field related to the assigned duties, such as risk management, business, or finance. 2. A minimum of five years of experience in payment card fraud detection and prevention. 3. Some experience in the Financial and IT industry related to Business and Functional analysis. 4. A strong working knowledge and understanding of industry best practices in fraud detection and loss prevention, as well as payment card processing. 5. A deep understanding of the fraud monitoring and detection space, including current market trends. 6. A good working knowledge of MasterCard, Visa, and Interac general fraud and card regulations. 7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify problems and drive them to resolution. 8. Experience with ACI’s Proactive Risk Manager (PRM) is an asset. 9. Experience using Microsoft SQL Server for query development and reporting is an asset.
