AI Marketing Specialist, SEO Specialist
Job Description
Darkroom is looking for an AI Marketing Specialist and SEO Specialist. In this role, you will: - Develop and implement SEO strategies for e-commerce, DTC, and consumer brands. - Conduct keyword research, site audits, and competitor analyses to identify growth opportunities in traditional and AI-powered search. - Continuously analyze SEO performance metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations. - Optimize client content for visibility within LLM-powered search engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Claude). - Develop strategies to increase brand references in AI-generated answers. - Monitor the evolving landscape of LLMs and translate changes into client strategies. - Build frameworks for tracking "AI share of voice" across generative search platforms. - Optimize website content, meta tags, structured data, and internal linking for both traditional and AI search. - Perform technical audits to identify crawl issues, site performance concerns, and schema markup opportunities. - Architect technical SEO and knowledge graphs to maximize machine readability. - Collaborate with development and content teams to recommend SEO-friendly site structures and content strategies. - Build and maintain link-building campaigns to enhance domain authority. - Identify partnership opportunities and manage backlink profiles. - Create content briefs and oversee content creation to ensure premium quality. - Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated marketing campaigns. - Present SEO insights to clients and stakeholders. - Support the Associate Director in developing methodologies and reporting frameworks. - Foster a culture of learning and experimentation.
Qualifications
1. 2-4 years of experience managing SEO strategies for e-commerce, consumer, or digital-first brands. 2. Proven track record in driving organic traffic growth and keyword ranking improvements. 3. Familiarity with SEO and analytics tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, or Moz. 4. Agency experience is a plus. 5. Deep understanding of on-page SEO, link-building, technical SEO, and structured data. 6. Strong analytical skills to translate data into actionable insights. 7. Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript is a plus. 8. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. 9. Adaptability to stay ahead of search engine algorithms and AI search platforms.
