AI Compliance Engineer – Responsible AI

Job Description

We are seeking an AI Compliance Engineer to define and manage our AI governance program, from policy creation to production oversight. This involves mapping laws and frameworks like the EU AI Act and GDPR to technical controls within our products and projects. You will construct evaluation harnesses for LLMs, tracking critical metrics such as hallucination, safety, and cost, and implement guardrails for data protection and content safety. Responsibilities include establishing audit-ready telemetry, collaborating on security and privacy measures, leading red-teaming exercises, and training internal teams. Your role will transform compliance into a competitive advantage.

Qualifications

1. 4+ years of experience in Security, Privacy, Compliance, ML governance, or safety engineering, with 2+ years focused on LLM products. 2. Strong understanding of LLM stacks, including OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Claude, Agno, CrewAI, and LangChain/LangGraph/LangSmith. 3. Hands-on experience in model evaluation, including building test sets, rubric-based scoring, and statistical analysis; familiarity with relevant tools and libraries. 4. Working knowledge of privacy and AI risk (GDPR, EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF) and the ability to translate them into safeguards, SOPs, and controls. 5. Expertise in context engineering, including designing, testing, and auditing prompt chains and memory architectures. 6. Solid scripting skills in Python/Pydantic (TypeScript preferred), with the ability to review PRs and add compliance checks to CI/CD. 7. Proficiency in Cloud/MLOps, including AWS/GCP/Azure, containers, secrets, monitoring, and access controls. 8. Excellent writing and stakeholder skills, with the ability to communicate rationale and propose safer alternatives.
