Job Description

Assume a pivotal role in enhancing the actuarial throughput. Convert broad guidance from the Head of Pricing into executable work plans, aligning methodologies, and ensuring the efficient progression of deliverables from initial analysis to final review. Key Responsibilities: Review and refine all North American Insurance pricing analyses, including inputs and program deliverables, prior to submission to the Head of Pricing. Maintain methodological consistency and standards across all programs and analyses. Identify and rectify technical errors, inconsistent assumptions, reasoning gaps, unclear documentation, and methodological deviations. Provide structured, actionable feedback and ensure revisions meet review-ready standards. Offer developmental coaching to actuaries at all levels, emphasizing analytical standards, documentation, and independent judgment. Deliver consistent guidance to build long-term team capabilities. Evaluate automated and summary outputs for reasonability and internal coherence. Collaborate with data specialists to address data or KPI issues identified during monitoring. Convert underwriting year performance into calendar-quarter financial impacts, ensuring a consistent narrative across programs.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications: 1. Possession of an FCAS credential. 2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial casualty insurance pricing. 3. Proven ability to critically assess and improve actuarial analyses. 4. Capacity to manage multiple work streams concurrently; strong organizational skills. 5. A coaching-oriented approach: patient, direct, and committed to the analytical development of others.
