Job Description

Join our team as an Accounts Receivable Representative, where you'll follow up on unpaid and underpaid insurance claims, reviewing their status through payer portals and systems. Manage your work queue efficiently, resolving denials related to medical necessity, authorization, coding, and payer policies. Execute formal appeals, including medical record review and payer escalation. Analyze remittances to identify underpayments and payer trends. Maintain detailed records of receivable transactions and monitor accounts for irregularities, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. Perform financial transactions, verifying and recording accounts receivable data.

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or GED required, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in health information management or a related field preferred. 2. Proven experience in healthcare AR, Billing, or revenue cycle. 3. Basic understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle. 4. Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn payer rules. 5. Ability to follow structured processes and workflows. 6. Experience with appeals and denials resolution.
