Accounting Operations Manager

Job Description

- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to accounting operations, pinpoint improvement areas, and implement necessary corrective actions. - Improve cash application and payment reconciliation processes for enhanced efficiency and accuracy. - Work with Engineering to introduce automation tools or systems for better accounting operations. - Organize regular training sessions for the accounting team, keeping them updated on accounting policies, procedures, and best practices. - Help create and enforce internal controls and processes to reduce financial risks and adhere to regulations. - Manage various ad hoc accounting projects, ensuring their completion on time and with accuracy. - Coordinate with Brand Payments during brand onboarding and offboarding to ensure seamless financial transitions and settlement of outstanding payments for partners. - Conduct periodic reviews to ensure clearance of uncleared checks, maintaining precise financial records. - Work alongside the legal team to ensure compliance and proper accounting treatment for legal matters and processes. - Oversee invoice generation and revenue reconciliation, ensuring correct billing and financial reporting. - Prepare audit letters and related support files to aid in internal and external audit processes for compliance. - Supervise and lead the accounting operations team, offering guidance, training, and support to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

Qualifications

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity. 2. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline. 3. Comprehensive understanding of accounting operations processes, including cash application, reconciliation, and vendor payments. 4. In-depth knowledge of the Order-to-Cash cycle and its relevance to accounting operations. 5. Ability to effectively collaborate across departments to identify process improvements and operational efficiencies. 6. Proficiency in using accounting software and platforms like QuickBooks Online (QBO) and other similar tools. 7. Exceptional attention to detail and high accuracy in handling financial data. 8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex accounting issues and discrepancies. 9. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. 10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with stakeholders and team leadership. 11. Proven leadership abilities and a history of successfully motivating and developing high-performing teams. 12. Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements in accounting operations. 13. Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret financial data and reports effectively.
