Accounting Manager

Job Description

Join Vetcove as an Accounting Manager and be a key player in ensuring the timely and accurate monthly financial close. You'll support treasury management, closely monitor cash balances, and work with finance leadership to identify and address cash flow risks and opportunities. Your responsibilities will extend to preparing and supporting quarterly tax payments and filings, working closely with external tax advisors. You'll oversee monthly bank reconciliations, prepare and review accrued expenses, and manage prepaid expenses, including setup, amortization, and reconciliation. You'll also prepare month-over-month (MoM) variance analysis and provide clear explanations to support month-end close activities. Furthermore, you'll maintain and update accounting documentation, ensuring it's accurate, audit-ready, and consistently maintained.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. 2. Previous Big 4 experience. 3. 4–7+ years of accounting or finance experience. 4. Strong understanding of general accounting principles and finance operations. 5. Experience driving key month-end close processes. 6. Comfortable working with ambiguity and shifting priorities. 7. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. 8. Experience documenting processes and maintaining internal knowledge bases (e.g., Notion; monthly accounting reconciliations). 9. Proactive, collaborative, and willing to jump in where needed.
