Accounting Administrator – Banking, 6-month contract
Job Description
As an Accounting Administrator at Best Buy Canada, you will: - Record and ensure timely receipt of Private Label credit payment settlements for all relevant transactions. - Identify transactions with payment variances, collaborating with internal stakeholders and third-party providers to resolve them. - Use reporting data from various systems to investigate payment discrepancies and identify payment variance patterns. - Investigate payment overages without supporting invoices. - Investigate and respond to inquiries related to Private Label cards and Best Buy gift cards received in shared group email boxes. - Assist with transactional reconciliations related to other payment methods such as Debit, Visa, MasterCard, and Amex. - Prepare and post journal entries to write off reconciling variances and record other corrections as required.
Qualifications
To succeed as an Accounting Administrator, you should have: 1. 2+ years of experience in accounting, banking, or financial services in a mid to large size organization. 2. Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, with familiarity in SQL. 3. Effective communication skills and exceptional attention to detail. 4. A Post-Secondary Degree (in accounting, business, or related field is preferred).
