Job Description

As an Account Manager, you'll be at the forefront of developing new business through referrals, networking, tender platforms, and industry relationships. You will cultivate strong relationships with facility managers, property managers, contractors, consultants, and key decision-makers. Responsibilities include expanding existing accounts by identifying opportunities for inspections, monitoring, preventative maintenance, recurring service agreements, deficiency repairs, system upgrades, retrofits, and modernization projects. You'll drive recurring service revenue growth while bolstering long-term customer retention and account development. Key tasks involve conducting site visits, assessing customer needs, and recommending practical fire alarm and life safety solutions. Present these solutions confidently to commercial, industrial, and institutional clients, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor. Manage pipeline activity, customer opportunities, and account visibility using CRM tools such as Inspect Point and Hubspot. Collaborate with engineering, service, inspections, and project teams to deliver accurate quotes, technical solutions, and project support. You'll also participate in manufacturer training, certifications, trade shows, and industry events, staying current on market trends and competitor activity. Above all, you will champion safe work practices and safety leadership in every aspect of your role.

Qualifications

1. A minimum of 2 years of B2B sales experience is required, preferably within fire alarm, security, building systems, electrical, or technical sales environments. 2. Demonstrated ability to quickly establish new business and nurture existing customer relationships. 3. Experience with fire alarm systems, inspections, monitoring, and life safety services is essential. 4. Familiarity with major manufacturers like Siemens, Mircom, Simplex, Edwards, Notifier, and Autocall is highly valued. 5. Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills, with the capacity to grasp customer operations and provide effective solutions. 6. Proficiency in managing a sales pipeline, prioritizing opportunities, and maintaining precise CRM data. 7. Comfortable working autonomously within a territory-based role while engaging with engineering, service, and technical teams. 8. Well-organized, adaptable, and detail-oriented in a dynamic sales environment. 9. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel are necessary. 10. Exceptional communication, presentation, and problem-solving abilities. 11. Bilingual proficiency in English and French is advantageous.
