Account Executive

Job Description

As an Account Executive, you'll be the main contact for our public sector clients, offering them reliable advice on managing risks and insurance. You'll need to deeply understand how clients operate, their risks, how they're governed, and their budget limits. You'll hold regular meetings to discuss strategies, review progress, and present renewals. You'll also advise clients on ways to transfer risk, coverage options, limits, deductibles, and other financing methods like pools or self-insurance. You'll look for new clients through referrals, RFPs, networking, and participating in the industry. You'll lead or help with responses to RFPs and bid processes. Increase revenue by selling more coverage and services. Keep an active sales pipeline and reach or exceed your goals for sales and keeping clients.

Qualifications

1. Must have an active Property & Casualty insurance license in the state. 2. Professional designations such as CPCU, ARM, CIC, or AA are preferred. 3. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred. 4. Minimum of 5-10 years of insurance experience, with a strong focus on public entity or large commercial accounts. 5. Proven experience in managing complex insurance programs for governmental or quasi-governmental organizations.
