Account Executive
Job Description
As an Account Executive, you will: - Prospect, qualify, sell, and secure new business with state and local public sector entities. - Manage account and customer relationships, sales and software licenses, service revenue, and subscription revenue. - Meet or surpass quota targets for on-premise and cloud software, services, and renewals. - Create effective and targeted account plans to ensure revenue goals and sustainable growth. - Cultivate strong relationships through understanding customer needs and delivering value. - Proactively understand each customer's technology landscape, strategic plans, and competitive environment. - Oversee a designated territory, including accounts, relationships, prospecting, and sales processes. - Develop and present comprehensive business plans addressing customer priorities and challenges. - Maintain accurate customer and pipeline data in the CRM system.
Qualifications
To succeed as an Account Executive: 1. Possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. 2. Bring 5-10 years of experience in selling complex business software / IT solutions / Business Process Outsourcing, primarily to the public sector and local government accounts. 3. Demonstrate a proven track record in business application software sales across various industries. 4. Exhibit experience leading in a team-selling environment. 5. Show demonstrated success with large transactions and extended sales campaigns in a fast-paced, consultative, and competitive market. 6. The ideal candidate will have experience working with public sector Finance Departments.
